IT turns out that the Conservative Party can lay claim to a greater share of Worcestershire than previously thought. Some 70 acres of it, to be precise.
A trawl through the latest Register of Members' Interests reveals that it is not just Peter Luff, Julie Kirkbride and Sir Michael Spicer who have an interest in the county.
Howard Flight, MP for Arundel and South Downs and a Tory front bench Treasury spokesman, is a property owner here.
In the register's land and property section, he lists a house and 70 acres of mixed farmland, including around one acre of land with planning permission, which belong to his wife and family.
What the register does not reveal, however, is where in the county the property lies.
Could Labour's Mike Foster or Jacqui Smith have a Tory MP on their patch, I wonder?
