WE'VE finally made it into the play-off zone and that's a great achievement for everyone connected with Kidderminster Harriers -- particularly after our slow start to the season.

But if people begin thinking that we've now done the hard work then they'd better think again.

Staying among the play-off places is not going to be easy and, in fact, by tonight we could be out of them again.

That would happen if Scunthorpe, where we visit on Saturday, win their home game against Exeter City. It's Scunthorpe's game in hand over us, so obviously we are more than interested in the outcome.

Anyway, at the moment we are occupying the last play-off place thanks to our 1-0 triumph over Darlington at Aggborough on Saturday.

And, let's not forget, we are only three points off an automatic promotion place and, earlier this season, that's something we wouldn't have imagined in our wildest dreams!

It's taken eight wins in our last ten league games to get into a play-off spot, so that's been a massive effort in itself. To stay there you wouldn't need that type of run, but you do need to continue to win regularly -- and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to do that.

In football, though, anything can happen and certain things can go wrong like having important players missing because of suspension or injury. But the way it's looking at the moment it would suggest we can continue to win games between now and the end of the season.

It's just whether we're going to have enough points by then. We have enough depth in the squad to win enough matches to be able to deal with most things, although there are a number of players you would prefer not to be without.

Picking up three points against Darlington on Saturday was obviously a massive result for us, particularly after our defeat against Luton earlier in the week.

The winner came from Andy Ducros and I thought his goal was excellent. He's a very talented player, but he's just needed to be a bit mentally stronger.

I think it has been a physical and mental thing with Ducros. He realised, for whatever reason, that he was low on confidence and very tentative when he was playing.

Maybe people were expecting too much of him, but he's now slowly coming back.

I think we more or less know what our strongest 11 is and five of those were missing on Saturday, so it was good to win and it was pleasing in the manner in which we did it.

It think the players who did play probably deserved to be part of a two or three nil win, but it wasn't to be.

But it was three vital points and a clean-sheet. Now, though, we've got to fully focus on Saturday's match at Scunthorpe because that's certainly going to be another stiff test of our play-off credentials.
