POWICK 5, BROADWAS 2

POWICK Sunday side played Broadwas at Powick and after four defeats the Powick manager, Alan Craven, told the players that they should show more passion and commitment.

Powick, with eight changes from the last time they played Broadwas, started the game at a fast pace. After six minutes Powick went one up with a cross from Gary Henderson for Phil Skilton to score his first goal. After 20 minutes Powick went two up, Phil Skilton getting his second goal. Broadwas were on the back foot for most of the first half.

In the 38th minute Powick went three up when Bryan Craven volleyed into the net from the edge of the box. Half time 3-0.

In the second half Powick were very slack in defence and they allowed Broadwas to get back into the game. Their first goal was a penalty well taken by Marc Cooke. Broadwas second goal was a good through ball for William Campbell to slot past Alex Lamb in the Powick goal.

Ten minutes later Powick made good progress down the left by James Bottomley and Nick Price for Bryan Craven to cross for Gary Henderson to place the ball past the keeper. This settled Powick down and five minutes later Gary Henderson sealed the game.

Man of the match was Gary Henderson.
