DEAR EDITOR - The turn of the year saw the notes and coins of 12 E U countries being withdrawn in favour of the Euro.
They are:- Austria, Belgium, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
Therefore, if you have any of these currencies left over, they will soon be worthless.
So why not collect up these notes and coins and take them to a bank who have a scheme in place to enable them to be donated to charity?
There is at least one bank in Droitwich that is doing this and it probably applies to them all. But hurry! It will soon be too late.
