WHILE most people were patiently awaiting the arrival of Santa with his sack full of goodies, two Bromsgrove households were celebrating a delivery of a different kind.
Two babies were born on Christmas Day to Bromsgrove parents at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
Michelle Roberts and her partner Gavin Bithell were blessed with bonny baby Joseph at 12.24pm, just as most were tucking into their turkey, while a little later in the afternoon Susan Haywood and her partner Nick Owen Jones were also celebrating the patter of tiny footsteps with the arrival of Natasha Lucy at 4.56pm.
Head midwife at the hospital Jane Rosewell said: "We had a nice day in the maternity ward on Christmas day, with five births in total and all mothers and babies doing well."
