WELL, there's nothing like flushing out a liberal is there?

I refer to John Norwood's letter (You Say, December 24). I never said the Conservative Party was fit to win the last General Election, indeed the outcome reflected the feeling I found on the doorsteps expressed by thousands of ordinary voters.

I agree with the comment made by Lady Barbara Castle and Roy Jenkins, both imminent senior politicians.

Recently, they said that "Tony Blair is leading a weak team and he doesn't give a damn about public transport".

That's right. The Prime Minister is getting a way with murder on the back of the Afghanistan crisis. I agree with Lady Castle, a true socialist, that this will end up as "Mr Blair's Achilles heel" .
