BOSS Phil Mullen is refusing to press any panic buttons despite Evesham United's slide down the Dr Martens Western Division.

The Robins have endured a stop-start month and also lost six points following Bloxwich's withdrawal from the league.

Mullen's side are back in action against Bilston Town at Common Road tomorrow (3pm) after suffering a 3-0 defeat at Bedworth United on a frozen pitch.

"It has shaken us up a bit losing the six points plus not having too many games and we are behind a bit at the moment but I'm not panicking," said Mullen.

"We can still turn it around but it's been so stop-start recently that we haven't had a run of games so it's been difficult to get consistency.

"It wasn't a bad thing that the game against Stourport Swifts was postponed because we were struggling to get a side out. Dean Roberts and Shaun Pratt were sick and Shaun Cunnington was away but hopefully I'll have those back tomorrow."

Keeper Damian Beattie and Richard Leadbeater both started against Bedworth but it was Beattie, re-signed from Hinckley United, who made the biggest impact but for the wrong reasons.

"Damian is a quality keeper but unfortunately in his first game made rather a mess of the first goal but he held his hands up for that," said Mullen.
