WHERE has county councillor Stephen Clee (You Say November 11) been for the last few years?

Does it take an admission by a Labour Minister in the House of Lords that county councils will disappear once regions are introduced for him to cotton on to the fact? I should have thought that this has been obvious for a long time.

Once county councils are eliminated, then it won't be long before counties themselves will be eliminated as being "unnecessary."

Following that, then I would suggest that Labour will then attack the monarchy itself with their first onslaught being made on the civil list.

Their ultimate aim is well known, and once that is achieved, then England will be no more. Let's face it, the word England even now is no longer used on EU maps.

One can picture our Labour government jumping with joy, shouting "we've done it" once they've split the country into regions, adopted the euro, eliminated the monarchy and made us an insignificant nothing in a federal Europe.

When, oh when, are we going to find a party that will stand up and oppose Labour's onward march?
