FROMES Hill's unbeaten run continued at home to Old Bush Willie Thornes on Sunday in the Malvern Football League Division One.

Their second win in three weeks sees Fromes Hill move up two places and into seventh position in the League after a 5-0 win over their opponents. Goalscorers for the home side were shared between Paul Stubbs, Simon Watkins, Martin Davies, Dave Eaton and a James Howard effort from the penalty spot.

Bull Allstars maintained their successful season to date with another win away at Morgan Aero 8. A disappointing first half for the home side allowed a buoyant Allstars team to take a four nil half time lead, which ultimately settled the tie.

In the second period Jamie Boswell added some respectability to the score after his effort, but they couldn't break down a tight defence. Chris Stone, David Zakotti, Matt Gurney and a brace from Mark Toman were the goalscorers in a 5-1 win to lead the division by nine points.

In the HFA Sunday Cup Third Round, Bell Inn 98 were beaten 2-1 by Herefordshire League outfit Black Horse. Dave Beech collected Bell Inn 98's goal having reached the third round for the first time, however a penalty for Black Horse, who finished the game with ten players, settled the game for the visiting team.

Brewery also bowed out of the competition, but can be proud of their endeavours after holding Marden 4-4 before two late goals inflicted a 6-4 home defeat on the Ledbury outfit.

In the Under 18s Youth Division Rosebowl competition first round, Welland go through to the semi-final stages after an enthralling cup tie against Libbery Wanderers, eventually winning by the odd goal in seven.

Libbery Wanderers were 2-0 down, then brought the scores level at 2-2, before Welland again took two goal advantage in this topsy-turvy game. Wanderers then brought the score to 3-4 and had the opportunity to level the tie from the penalty spot, but their effort failed and the 4-3 win to Welland was the final score. Wilkinson (2) and Wade (1) were the scorers for Wanderers, Hill and Cook were on target for Welland.

In the Under 18s Youth League, sponsored by www.thesoccersite.co.uk, Tupsley Pegasus Juniors, in second place at the start of the day, went on to score 13 goals against visitors Warndon Youth without reply before the game was abandoned after 87 minutes, when a dismissed Warndon player refused to move away from the Tupsley goalposts.

Senior Cup quarter-final ties sponsored by the Soccer Site take place this Sunday: Kempsey United v Talbot Head, Bull Allstars v Old Bush Willie Thornes, Interthornes v Club AC 30, Fromes Hill v Callow End Harriers.

In League action Morgan Aero 8 take on Brewery and in the Under 18s Youth Division Libbery Wanderers will be hoping for better fortune in an encounter against Welland.
