A Howell movement was used in this week's Duplicate Competition, resulting in fierce bidding on some interesting hands.
Once again Steve and Sally Clifton were in top place with 61 per cent, Tony Wilson and Pat Smith were second with 59 per cent, and joint thirds were Nigel Wilkins and Wendy Duley, and John and Louise Bywater with 57 per cent.
