THE UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE - U3A: The next general meeting will be held at 2pm next Tuesday in the Pershore Civic Centre Committee Rooms and will feature an illustrated talk by Mrs Janet Yates representing the Worcestershire Farmers Markets. The meeting will also elect a new committee to serve in 2002. The Pershore U3A was only formed in July of this year but it already has over 130 members and 17 special interest groups covering a rapidly expanding range of subjects as diverse as music, literature, history, walking, crafts and languages. These special interest groups meet regularly in the daytime in and around Pershore and a general meeting for all the members is held each month. The Pershore U3A welcomes new members who are over 50, not in full-time employment and who wish to expand their skills and interests in a friendly environment.
