ART SOCIETY: As expected the November demonstration drew a large audience to watch John Lines paint a delightful rural scene in oils. It was inspiring to watch this large painting develop during the two hours and it was quickly purchased by a member who happily carried it home to dry! There was a committee meeting on November 28 to discuss ideas and plans for the future. We have two important officers to replace before the February AGM and despite appeals at every opportunity over the last six months for volunteers or suggestions no-one has yet come forward, so please members seriously consider how you might be able to help. Because of the Christmas lunch there will be no meeting until January 16 when there will be a pastel demonstration by Pat Landon. Evesham Art Society meets at The Friend's Meeting House, Cowl Street, Evesham at 7.15pm for 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month. Non members welcomed --entrance £2 to include coffee and biscuits. Note: No meeting December. Members: Christmas lunch, 12.30pm for 1pm 'unisex' gift.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Next Monday The Vale of Evesham Camera Club will show 'The PAGB Slides' from the Inter-federation Slide Competition at the Friends Meeting House, Cowl Street, Evesham, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. New members welcome.
