ON behalf of the Friends of Simon de Montfort Middle School and myself I would like, through your page, to pass on our sincere thanks for the generosity from the restaurants, cafes and shopkeepers in the town who supported our Autumn Fair last Saturday - over 100 businesses donated prizes.
Also our thanks go to the many growers and distributors throughout the Vale who support us with donations of produce.
It is good to see local industry supporting the school and it proves the adage if a lot give a little then it is amazing what can be achieved - their contribution helped to raise over £2,100 for the school which will go towards equipping a new Library extension and a small Special Needs Room which is due to be built during March/April.
