HOCKEY: Unlucky Kidderminster Boundary just could not find the goal as they slipped to a 1-0 DTZ Midlands League Division One defeat at North Notts.

The visitors fell to a strike just 15 minutes in but went on to play the better hockey in the second half against the league leaders.

Young players Mark Bagley, who replaced skipper Mark Taylor before the interval, and Phil Baldwin had good games.

The seconds' scheduled game was cancelled.

Stone 1 Kidderminster 3rds 3

Neil Furminger scored two goals and Mark Mansell one to gain this DTZ win at Stone.

The team appeared to have learnt from the previous week's mistakes and moved the ball well.

A run down the left by C Brazier resulted in Furminger putting the ball into the back of the Stone net.

Kidderminster consolidated their lead just before half-time with a short-corner from Mansell.

After the break, Kidderminster dominated with Phil Williams, a recent signing from Stourport, impressive.

Furminger scored the team's third and his own second when he forced a powerful shot between the goalkeeper's legs.

Kidderminster relaxed a little and Stone scored a consolation goal.
