A WORCESTER alleyway was sealed off today as a police investigation began after a teenager claimed she had been sexually assaulted during a night out.

Detectives sealed off an area of a car park close to Images nightclub, and part of the Croft Walk alleyway leading to Pitchcroft racecourse, as they carried out enquiries.

The 18-year-old girl had been at Images, in The Butts, with a female friend, but claimed she had gone outside for some fresh air, when she was approached by two men.

The pair walked with her down the alleyway, towards the racecourse.

One of them, she claims, then disappeared back towards The Butts.

Witnesses

But the second man - described as tanned and sporting earrings - continued walking with the girl before, she maintains, assaulting her in the alleyway.

"Our investigations into this are at an early stage," said Det Sgt Jon Wallis, of Worcester police.

"But we'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed a girl with shoulder-length blonde hair, accompanied by two men, in or around the area outside Images and Rack Alley between about 12.30am and 1.30am today, or with information about this man."

The alleged attacker is described as white, in his late 20s and tall.

He had dark-brown hair, which was spiky at the front, dark eyes, and had an earring in each ear.
