THE National Lotteries Charity Board has donated more than £110,000 to a charity which helps support people with Parkinson's Disease in Redditch.
The money will go towards providing a Welfare Visitor Service in Worcestershire.
The service is available free to people affected by the condition, including families and carers, irrespective of membership to the Parkinson's Disease Society.
The main role of the visitor is to provide practical and emotional support.
They will also help to obtain welfare benefits.
A confidential 'listening ear' is also offered, either by phone or in the person's home.
Liz Miller covers the eastern area, including Redditch.
