SATURDAY'S front page (Evening News, November 3) article on npower company initiative to "get people out of their cars" reminded me of a recent job interview I attended.
Having arrived punctually, I was kept waiting. Eventually, the interviewer arrived and all seemed to be going well, until I was asked how I would be travelling to work.
By bus, I replied. Upon which I was advised that buses are unreliable, so I would be late for work.
By now, I realised I wouldn't be offered the job. The woman interviewing me was half-an-hour late because of a problem with her car.
