STEVEN Vile admits he's still pinching himself over his move to Sixways. Worcester Rugby Club's new fly-half has been fast tracked into the first team after injury to Craig Chalmers and has had little time to think about his new surroundings.

Having played 70 minutes in Worcester's 50-3 demolition of Moseley in the Senior Cup clash last Saturday, Vile looks set for more game-time tomorrow at Sixways when Bracknell are the visitors.

And for the New Zealander, he is loving every minute of it.

"I'm so impressed with Worcester's set-up," said Vile.

"I was impressed last time I came here to sign but sadly, that move fell through. If I could have, I would have signed for Worcester two years ago.

"When the opportunity came back up to sign for Worcester it didn't take me very long to think about it, that's for sure."

Vile travelled to Sixways twice in the past three years with the intention of signing but twice, the move fell through.

Two weeks ago, it was certainly a case of third time lucky when he signed on the dotted line until January as cover for Chalmers and Tony Yapp.

However, judging by his performance at Bournbrook, the 31-year-old is looking for an extended stay at Sixways.

"I felt when I left Bristol that I always wanted to come back and play with Worcester," he added.

"A kind of unfinished business if you like. Now that I'm here, it probably hasn't sunk in that much. I keep pinching myself because I'm really glad to be here.

"At Moseley, John Brain and Steve Townend had not really said how long I would play but I was expecting around 10 or 15 minutes maybe.

"To get 70 was very unexpected but it went well. It helps, of course, when you have quality players all around you."
