A WYTHALL man is critical but stable in hospital after a serious accident on the A435 at about 5.10pm on Sunday.
The crash happened between the M42 motorway island and Wythall island when a collision occurred between a Toyota Carina E and a BMW.
The driver of the BMW was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving. The driver and a woman passenger from the Toyota were injured.
The woman was taken to Selly Oak Hospital with minor injuries and later discharged.
Police have questioned the BMW driver, who is due to return to Redditch police station on Wednesday.
