Stourport's Katy McGowan has been selected to play rugby for the state of Texas.
McGowan turns out for the Dallas Debutantes and recently scored four tries to help her team to victory over Houston.
She played for Texas in a tournament in New Mexico where her team won three of four matches, while she also made the state's select side against the U-23s.
McGowan, playing in her preferred position of outside-half, made two tries as they won comfortably.
She plans to return to Stourport next year and go to university.
