MALVERN Ladies FC travelled to Bristol for a league match on Sunday and were only denied victory by a injury time goal.

BRISTOL CITY RESERVES 1, MALVERN LADIES FC 1

Malvern started in excellent fashion keeping the Bristol defence under continuous pressure. This was rewarded in the 26th minute when a brilliant flick by Rachael Crack opened the Bristol defence and was fired home by Emily Prosser. Malvern limited the Bristol side to just two attacks in the first half. Half time 0-1.

Bristol started the second half much better and with some sloppy passing by Malvern, came back into the game and only very good defending from Malvern's back four kept them out although Malvern's Karina Farr was booked in the 65th minute for a late tackle.

Malvern hung on very well to their one goal lead and were only denied all three points when Bristol equalised with a well taken free kick from 25 yards in the third minute of injury time.

Sarah Cartridge had a very good game on her debut for Malvern Ladies, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring.

Malvern's next home game is against South Bristol Wanderers on this Sunday (November 4) kick-off 2.30pm at Victoria Park.
