THE search is on for local heroes to carry the Queen's Jubilee Baton on its journey around the UK.
The baton will be carried around the country and end up at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Organisers are looking for carriers who have made a special contribution to their communities, improved the lives of others or achieved a personal goal against the odds.
