AN adventurous youngster from Worcestershire could become a famous face, thanks to a competition being launched by the Army.

One lucky teenager will be sent on an action-packed training trip to Kenya, trekking through game parks, touring on mountain bikes and canoeing.

The winner, who must be aged between 13 and 17, will become the Face of Camouflage and feature on the Army's website.

The site includes information on Army life, careers and ventures as well as online competitions.

Lieut-Col Lawrence Anderson, who deals with the region's recruitment, said the winner would experience Army life first-hand.

"The adventure training course will provide the winner with an exciting opportunity to see and experience Kenya and gain an insight into Army training," he added.

Entrants must have a spirit of adventure, be outstanding team players and have top-level motivational skills. They must convince the judges of their ability to solve problems and motivate others, and write down any adventurous activities they have taken part in or team sport they play.

Pictures must also be submitted. Forms available on www.mycamouflage.co.uk

Anyone without access to a computer should send their entries to The Face of Camouflage Competition, c/o Golley Slater, St George's House, 3 St George's Place, Church Street, Twickenham, TW1 1NE.
