ROUND two of the Chaddesley Corbett and Brintons derby went to the factory side again as they won 5-2 after extra time in the Worcestershire Junior Cup.

Brintons, who triumphed 3-2 the previous week, hosted the second round clash as league rivals Chaddesley's Longmore pitch was in a poor state.

A moment's madness by village midfielder Ashley Phillips proved costly as he kicked out at former team-mate Sam Pountney and was sent off on 20 minutes.

Chaddesley were already a goal down following a sweeping move which Pountney side-footed home.

To make matters worse, their striker Lee Jordan was injured and had to be replaced by defender Joss Price.

After the interval, 10-man Chaddesley put West Midlands Division One South leaders Brintons on the defensive by throwing three strikers up front.

At the back, Damien Ash and Gavin Knight were getting the better of Steve Mares and goal-machine John Maffei.

Left-wing back Richard Burton gave a man-of-the-match performance, causing Brintons' right side all sorts of problems.

With a couple of minutes remaining, Chaddesley scored the equaliser when Ash skillfully lobbed Brintons' keeper Jim Pickett.

But in the first period of extra time, Brintons ran in two goals from Neil Cronin and a header from Mark Dobbins who then added his second.

Matt Baynton pulled a goal back for Chaddesley but then Andy Birch hit the cross bar with a rasping shot.
