TWO Malvern-based pool players have been performing well in the new Gangsters Grand Prix, run by Supreme Pool Promotions.
New Zealand international Mark Stephenson is placed third in the overall standings, having reached the semi finals of the first event and the quarter finals of the second.
Mark was also a finalist in the recent Butlins Open, losing 6-5 to Keith Jones.
Fellow Malvern player Andy Jones also reached the semi final of the first Gangsters event, only losing 6-4 to pool legend Keith Brewer, who leads the standings. Andy is currently lying sixth in the standings.
Mark saw Andy playing at a pub in Malvern and was so impressed by his skill he encouraged him to join the circuit. The pair now practice together.
