DEAR EDITOR - In reply to Mrs S A Walters' letter "Support for the refuse collection," I would just like to highlight that I believe she is totally missing the point!
The previous system, whereby when a Bank Holiday came along a different area each time had their rubbish left - was fairer, if unsatisfactory.
My family and I live in one of the areas where, when a Bank Holiday comes along, we are expected to 'hoard' our rubbish for a fortnight! Every Bank Holiday!
So, in conclusion, I would like to say three things:
1. Why should I pay for a 'second-rate' service every Bank Holiday?
2. Bromsgrove District Council - please revert to the previous, fair service and
3. To Mrs S A Walters - she might be happy paying for this current refuse collection service, the majority of households in Bromsgrove, I assure her, are not!
