3/7/01 REPORTED new signing Steve Jones has shocked boss Jan Molby by announcing a stunning U-turn and turning down a move to Aggborough.
Despite verbally agreeing a two-year deal with Molby, the 30-year-old former Swansea City defender has changed his mind.
It is a particular sickener for the Dane as he enjoyed a good working relationship with Bristol-born Jones while managing the Welsh side.
However, Jones appears to have been made a better offer since agreeing to join last Friday.
He is now being linked with a move to former club Cheltenham Town, Harriers' main rivals, and surprisingly First Division Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Harriers have turned their attention to completing a two-year deal with another target this afternoon.
