I FIND the comments by Sajid Riasat (You Say, October 13) quite unacceptable.

To describe the appalling atrocity on September 11 as a classic example of developed countries exercising their military muscle beggars belief.

We are all aware of events in the past that, in retrospect, could have been dealt with differently.

But the cold-blooded murder of so many innocent people of many nationalities and the method employed using innocent airline passenger as projectiles transcends all understanding.

We now have evidence of biological warfare manifesting itself, without doubt emanating from the same source. I cannot envisage any nation subjected to this act of war reacting in any other way.

I am convinced that the evidence of the identity of the planners, which has been submitted to the Coalition is beyond question but that there must be compelling security reasons why these should not be published.

No doubt the United Nations will play a part in due course but to wait for any fast action from this source is a forlorn hope.

This man and his co-conspirators the personification of evil and will no doubt receive their just deserts in the fullness of time hopefully, fairly soon.

In the meantime, our security organisations will, hope, seek out and render harmless supporters of the perpetrators in this country unhampered as much as possible by civil liberties and Human Rights legislation that for the vast majority of law abiding people are a contradiction in terms.
