VETERAN Studley midfielder Trevor Whittington is out of tomorrow's FA Vase trip to Leicestershire outfit Friar Lane OB, writes Josh Taylor.

The player-coach has pulled a muscle in his groin and will be forced to watch the cup clash (ko 3pm) from the sidelines.

But he remained optimistic about the BKL's chances.

"I think we've got a really good chance if we perform to our full potential," he said.

"But from what I have heard Friar Lane are a good team and won their last Vase game 4-1."

But assistant manager John Mitchell, in charge of team affairs with manager Mark Chambers on holiday, welcomes back holidaying defender Craig Gillett and fit-again Steve Duncan could also figure.
