ROBERT Powell, whose role alongside Jasper Carrot in TV spoof The Detectives endeared him to millions, is appearing at the Everyman in Cheltenham next week.
He is starring alongside Liza Goddard and David Griffin (of Keeping Up Appearances) in Murder By Misadventure, a tale of double-crossing and dastardly deeds.
The plot centres around two successful TV thriller writers, one of whom is conspiring to murder his colleague. He lifts the plot from a projected script, and everything seems to be going smoothly until a nosy police inspector gets involved.
Ian Dickens Productions are responsible for bringing the show to the Everyman, following on from A Murder is Announced and Rebecca.
Murder by Misadventure runs from September 24 to 29, starting at 7.45pm, or 8pm on Saturday. Matinees are scheduled for Thursday and Saturday. Tickets, are £6.50 to £17, available on 01242 572 573 or at www.everyman theatre.org. uk
