JOHN HEGLEY, the much-loved British comic poet, is returning to the Swan Theatre in Worcester with a brand new show.
He is touching down at the Swan on September 30 after a whirlwind of performances here and abroad.
They included sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival and the Montreal Comedy Festival, the USA Comedy Festival in Aspen, appearances in the Pajama Game with Ulrika Johnson and Anita Dobson and his own Hearing with Hegley show on Radio 4.
Mr Hegley is one of the country's most innovative comic poets, with seven best-selling volumes including DOG, the latest.
He draws inspiration from sources as diverse as his Cub Scout diary, a ten-year-old's perspective before and after glasses, a chance meeting with a member of the Building Workers' Union and an encounter with a Buddhist monk in Thailand with a facecloth on his lap.
