A MAN has complained to police that he suffered a broken shoulder when he was assaulted outside a Worcester nightclub.

The victim, in his mid-twenties, claimes he was pushed to the ground by a man, who was accompanied by a black and white dog.

"The complainant was on his own when the incident happened and he said that nothing was stolen", said Worcester police spokeswoman Vicki Davies.

The attacker is described as a white male, 5 ft 8ins tall with collar-length, mousy brown, unkempt hair.

He was unshaven.

The assault is believed to have taken place close to The Torch night club, near the entrance to Cripplegate Park, at 11pm last Friday.

PC Manny Sidhu is appealing for anyone with information about the incident.

"This part of Worcester would have been busy at this time on a Friday night and I would ask anyone who has information relating to this incident, or who may have seen what happened, to contact me on 01905 723888," said PC Sidhu.

"If they have information, but would prefer to remain anonymous, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
