TWO Vale of Evesham members of the successful South Worcester Lifeguards squad are representing the United Kingdom in Majorca today (Thursday).
Michelle Kimberley and Abby Kelly flew out to Majorca on Tuesday for the European Lifesaving Championships.
Michelle, a former pupil and now a teacher at Bowbrook House School, believes her best hope for success will be in the beach sprinting events and various team relay races both in the pool and the ocean at Palma Nova.
Teammate Abby will rely on her talents in the pool towing the Manikin events, where she stands an excellent chance of bringing home a medal.
Michelle's chance of competing for the UK has come about mainly thanks to the staff at the Peopleton school for giving her the time off to compete.
