A TOURING theatre company is bringing a "highly entertaining, funny and explosive" new production to Kidderminster as one of only two performances in the county.

Riding Lights, based in York, is presenting Love Fifteen, in association with national charity Parentalk, at Kidderminster Town Hall next week.

It focuses on the ordinary life of an ordinary family - the Newboroughs - that is until "tragedy strikes like a 100mph serve".

A theatre spokesman said: "But why, at match-point, do they suddenly find themselves playing on the same side of the net?

"Active, reactive and interactive, Riding Lights Theatre Company guarantees to hold your hand through a unique evening of laughter, tears and all the lobs and volleys of some of the most keenly fought points of family life."

The company is well known for 24 years of touring productions and last year opened its own home, Friargate Theatre, in York.

The latest production, which follows national tours of Friendly Fire last year, Balancing Act in 1999 and A Different Drum in 1998, is appearing at about 50 venues across the country, with a date in Redditch next month the only other Worcestershire performance.

Tickets, for next Wednesday's performance, which begins at 7.30pm, are priced £7.50 and £5 and available by calling local rate number 0845 961 3000.
