THE first leg of the Wye Cup fished at Holm Lacey saw Phil Seedhouse catch small chub and dace to claim a comfortable win.
A clear, low river made conditions difficult and, with the fish very shy, members struggled for catches.
Result: 1 P Seedhouse 9.15.0; 2 John Davis 7.8.8; 3 Paul Law 1.8.0.
This Sunday there is a Stillwater Shield match at Hill View Fisheries. The draw will take place at 7am pool side.

Tunnel Barn Farm
ALL pools have been fishing well with worm and caster working best on most pegs.
The Top Pool is best for small carp on most pegs with better carp showing on pegs 33, 1, 2 and 13.
The Bottom Pool is best for carp to 17lb from pegs in the 20's on meat and paste.
House Pools are giving bags to 60lb on worm and caster. The best areas are 19 to 23 on House Two, and pegs 6, 7, 14, 33 on House One.
The Canal is giving good sport with bags of bream to 25lb possible from middle bridge area. Best baits are red maggot over ground bait.
