A FAR from downhearted Phil Mullen vowed to put things right after last weekend's sorry FA Cup exit.

"I've got some good lads and I've enjoyed a reasonable 12 months with the same players," the Evesham boss declared.

"We had a ten to15-minute chat after the game and the players were told to go away and have a think about things. We will see what unfolds.

"There was no reason for what happened, we were sadly lacking in all departments. We were very much second best on the day."

Mullen revealed that out of favour Richard Clark will be in the starting 11 at Chippen-ham on Saturday but where the defender fits in, the manager wouldn't disclose.

"We want to make sure that the boys at the back are solid defenders. We must make sure that we don't concede, said Mullen.

"Clarky's OK. I have told him that he will play in more games than he will miss," the manager admitted.

One player who won't be in Mullen's plans for the next two weeks is injured Dean Rob-erts, while recent recruit, Steve Pope, has already jumped ship to join Bromsgrove.
