MICKLETON Rangers moved to the top of Division One of the Evesham Sunday League after victory at Inkberrow.

Rangers, having dispensed with their Reserve team, have blooded several youngsters to the top division and continued their excellent start as goals from Reason, Tye and Gill saw off Inkberrow who scored through Ace.

Guiting Rangers remain pointless. Despite scoring three at Bretforton with goals from Payne (2) and Stroud, they couldn't prevent the VIC taking the points with goals from Beddoes (3), Jones and Major.

An Andrew Beale goal took Willersey to the top of Division Two and at the same time ended Pebworth's unbeaten start.

Goals from Bricksey, Cotton, Voyce and Cooke helped Peopleton to comfortably defeat visitors Ilmington Rangers.

Offenham Rovers lost their third successive match, this week at home to Lower Moor United, who scored through Withers and Haines with Burrows responding for Rovers.

In the Third Division, 21 goals were scored at Honeybourne, with the home side scoring 16 including six from Phil Layton. Poor old Blockley were 3-0 down inside 15 minutes only to hit back to level at the break. However, the hosts went into overdrive to lead 12-4 within an amazing 20 minutes of the restart.

Broadway United continued their perfect start to the season, defeating Pershore with goals from Ridge, Baylis and Hawkins.

Two goals from Mark Houghton and a further goal from Randall helped Trumpeteers overcome Riverside for whom Cuthbert hit two and Swan Sports defeated Oddfellows.

The Fourth Division clash between Crown Athletic and Bretforton VIC Reserves was abandoned after an hour. Crown's Craig Johnson was knocked unconscious but he was allowed to leave Cheltenham General Hospital later in the day.

Elsewhere, Tewkesbury Town Reserves won impressively at Mount-ineers with goals from Fletcher, Erwin-Singh, Cavanagh and Hender-son. A double from Hill helped Shipston Sports to victory over Bell Utd.

Newcomers Hampton WMC are still in search of their first point as they fell to goals from Mirrow, Kelsall, Pritchard and Osbourne for Ashton Reserves.

Broadway United Reserves defeated Servicemen's with goals from Annis, Bostock and Palmer.
