THE 'one night only' chance to hear and see three 'greats' of English football - Norman Hunter, Nobby Stiles and Tommy Smith - at Malvern Theatre on Tuesday October 2, is proving a popular one with local football fans.
Ticket sales are going well and the advice is if you want to hear three 'greats' of football telling amusing and revealing stories of their playing days and answering questions from the floor - book now to avoid disappointment!
The evening is a celebration of 25 years of the Mercian Elgar Junior League, which with around 90 teams is the premier junior league in the Worcestershire area, with teams from neighbouring Herefordshire and Gloucestershire also participating, sees upwards of 1600 youngsters from 9-16 playing regularly, week in week out.
"We're really lucky to get these three heroes together," said league chairman George Silverman. "All proceeds of the evening will go to continuing our efforts to boost grass roots football in the area so we hope everyone will come along and support the league."
The remaining tickets - from £6 - can be obtained by ringing 01684 892277.
