JOHN Brain has thrown down the gauntlet to the Sixways faithful by calling for fan power to overcome Rotherham on Saturday.

Worcester Rugby Club's head coach is well aware of Rotherham's vocal support and has warned home fans to out-shout their South Yorkshire rivals as the top two National One sides lock horns for the crunch clash.

"My message to our supporters is not to be too polite," he said. "They have to remember they are not watching a game of golf at Sixways, they are watching a full-blooded game of rugby.

"I have a report from the game where Rotherham travelled to Wakefield and the visiting supporters basically took over the ground. It was like a home game for them and that is what they will try and create on Saturday.

"If you are going to come to Worcester as home supporters, you should be prepared to be fairly vocal about it. Certainly our supporters are passionate but we need to hear them against Rotherham.

"This is especially true when we are under pressure because it will happen during the game and the team will need support."

Brain, without several key figures for last weekend's 31-0 win at Henley Hawks, has been boosted with some good news on the injury front.

Sateki Tuipulotu looks to have shaken off his knee injury and takes his place in the squad, while centre Duncan Roke has been given the green light to play by doctors after his concussion injury.

Winston Stanley has recovered from a leg injury and Craig Chalmers looks set for his second start in a Worcester shirt after a bruised sternum.

Chalmers has also recovered from a sickness bug as has Chris Yates.

Ben Hinshelwood is included despite an ankle problem while Dan Zaltzman's neck injury has cleared up. Brain, however, is still without Alistair Murdoch (rib), Scott Barrow (foot) and Elton Moncrieff (calf).

"Sateki trained yesterday and we are hopeful he will be OK for Saturday," added Brain. "We will make a final decision tomorrow, but Sateki was feeling positive about playing. It is also good news to have Duncan Roke back because he is itching to play and has the ability to excite the crowd."

Brain is under no illusions as to the importance of the match which will go a long way to shaping Worcester's bid for promotion.

"I think whichever team wins will have a big advantage for the season ahead. You look to win your home games and it will be a big blow for us if we lose -- but we're not looking to lose though. We are looking forward to the game positively.

"It is an important match for us to win because it is looking like it's a two horse race for promotion."
