Vale Wdrs U-11 2,

Drakes Broughton 0

WANDERERS continued their good start with a hard-fought win.

A goal apiece from Tom McLaughlin and Ryan Cantrill sealed the points in the first half.

The visitors put Vale under a lot of pressure in the second half but a fine gutsy defensive performance saw Vale hold out.

The side marked their first ever game the previous week with a 7-0 defeat of Evesham United.

A great team performance throughout saw them leading 2 - 0 at half-time. They went on to complete the victory with goals from Tom Waghorn and captain McLaughlin who both scored a hat-trick. A fine solo effort from Arron Hartwell completed the win.

Ombersley Colts 0,

Salford Rvrs U-13 8

A NEW-LOOK Rovers opened the new season in convincing style.

New signing Ashley Wilkes opened the scoring after ten minutes and it was 2-0 moments later when Wilkes set up Robert Preston.

The latter then made it 3-0 before a solo run from Jamie Coughlan ended with Salford's fourth before the break.

Goals flowed at regular intervals in the second half after good saves from Richard Print had kept Colts at bay.

Coughlan sent in Wilkes on a one to one with the keeper for his second goal before Josh Cocker made it 6-0 from the penalty spot after Preston was bought down..

Two more from Preston took his tally to four and Rovers were now cruising 8-0.

Print made two more excellent saves as Ombersley threw everyone forward and they were eventually rewarded a goal.

Newcomer Shaun Reed was named player of match.

Evesham Utd Jnrs 0

LITTLETON produced another convincing win after Ryan Clarke's early opener.

The scorer then converted a pass from Matt Taylor before returning the compliment as Taylor grabbed his side's fourth.

Evesham missed a penalty before Johns completed his hat-trick after great work by Oliver Payne.

Despite making several changes at half time Littleton continued to play all the football and a superb pass from Josh Craze saw Matt Goss finish coolly.

Keeper Sam Bastow then launched a long kick upfield that Luke Lowerson latched on to and beat the keeper with ease to complete the scoring.

Droitwich 0, Norton Rgrs U-14 11

RANGERS bettered last season's tally at the same venue as they recorded a third straight Mercian Elgar League win.

James Muddiman caught the hosts cold in the first minute and it was 3-0 after just six minutes as Joe Mulrennan and player of the match Tristan Buckley caught the goal bug!

Scott Williams then helped himself to a hat-trick before turning provider for Matthew Williams to make it 7-0. It was eight when Shane Turley pounced on a poor clearance.

A reshuffle at the break gave a plucky Droitwich side some respite and replacement keeper Turley was relieved to see on effort strike a post.

Rangers could only manage three more at the opposite end courtesy of Matthew Williams (2) and Ashley Knight.

It was a much tighter affair at home to Peopleton last Wednesday but Rangers took the spoils by the odd goal in three.

Defences were on top throughout but it took a brilliant save from Alex Gretton to prevent Norton going behind.

It was Buckley who finally broke the deadlock after 24 minutes and, with the wind at their backs, Rangers made it 2-0 when Scott Williams struck after the interval. Nick Henry netted for Peopleton.

Evesham Utd Robins 3,

Bredon Colt Cobras 0

A DISAPPOINTING display saw the side that had the greater will to win and generally quicker to the ball take the points.

Bredon were the better side early on but two goals late in the half gave the Robins the edge.

Excellent performances from player of the match Luke Norman and new signing Craig Robinson couldn't inspire the Cobras who conceded a third goal in the second half.

Evesham Utd U-9 21, Dunnington 0

UNITED'S goal hungry youngsters made it 32 goals in two games as they totally overwhelmed the league newcomers.

Jake Hall topped the scoring charts with eight, while Olly Scarrot wasn't far behind with a half-a-dozen. Lou Brown (3), Michael Savage (2), James Bearcroft and Olly Davis completed the rout.

Badsey Rgrs U-14 6,

Charlton Rvrs 2

RANGERS hit back in fine style after the previous week's setback against Battledown.

Dan Willmot, who turned in an outstanding display at centre half, scored an excellent opener and it was 2-0 courtesy of Antonio Vernaschi's clever dummy.

Sam Linley then grabbed the first two goals of a hat-trick before Charlton trimmed the arrears with a swift brace.

Player of the match Willmot's second made it 5-2 at the break and it was left to Linley to complete his treble.

Drakes Broughton 2, Littleton U-9 6

FOUR second half strikes earned Littleton the points after Drakes had levelled matters at 2-2 after the break.

Ross Day gave the hosts the lead but Littleton replied through Kyle Brotherton and Craig Stanley.

Day struck again only for Ben Goss, Alex Trinder and Liam Hundley (2) to strike at the opposite end and earn the visitors three points.

Evesham Utd U-15 7,

Worcester Rgrs 0

IT took United just 30 seconds to pierce the Worcester defence when Michael Wellon found the back of the net.

And it proved a sign of things to come as two more before the break gave Evesham a comfortable cushion.

Even though Rangers put up stiffer resistance after the restart, United bagged four more goals to record an emphatic win. Luke Kennedy hit a hat-trick while the other goals came courtesy of Kyle Holder, Daniel Millward and Steve Bullock.

Badsey Rgrs U-12 4,

Tewkesbury Yth 0

A THIRD successive league win was achieved in comfortable fashion against resolute opponents.

Jamie Clark opened the scoring after seven minutes and, after a missed penalty and a shot that hit the bar, Ben Holland finally doubled the lead 13 minutes later.

Despite making changes at half time, Badsey continued to dominate and Joe Smith's tremendous strike made it 3-0 before an own goal completed the scoring. Christian Cloke was named player of the match.

Martley U-14 1, Peopleton 4

A DOMINANT first half display only brought Peopleton two goals.

Newcomer Scott Hughes took advantage of a goalkeeping error to open the scoring and it was 2-0 when Nick Henry skipped past several tackles before firing in a tremendous left-footer.

Marcus Rhodes looked to have secured the points after the break but an error at the back gave Martley hope. However, Henry struck from the penalty spot to seal a comfortable win.

Malvern Wdrs 0,

Evesham Utd U-14 7

A FINE all-round display saw United continue their good start to the new season.

Kevin Miles and James Maxim saw the visitors seize the early initiative and Sean Fensome soon added to the goal tally against a battling Malvern side.

Miles made it 4-0 before changes at the break slightly disrupted the pattern of play but Miles went on to complete his hat-trick and further strikes from Dean Kerr and Gareth Wolford capped an excellent team effort.

Broadway 0, Bredon Colts U-12 13

THIRTEEN proved unlucky for league new boys Broadway against a Bredon side on top of their game.

Christian Cloke opened the floodgates and there were a trio of different names on the scoresheet before the break.

Manesh Madhu, James Offord and Jack Brixey were all on target and the second half followed a similar pattern with the first half scorers all finding the net again.

The scoring was completed by David Mace, Philip Shepherd, Daniel Keating and William Cook, who fired in a most spectacular drive from distance.
