I WAS interested in the story (Shuttle/Times & News, September 13) regarding the withdrawal of concessions for five life members by the Kidderminster Harriers board of directors.

I believe that this, in the wake of other doubtful decisions emanating from Aggborough recently, typifies the tenuous relationship between the present administration and the core supporters.

Those of us who have followed the Harriers for more than a couple of seasons will be aware that these life members, and a few others like them, were mainly responsible for keeping the club afloat in difficult times, by working for long hours - often in a voluntary and unpaid capacity.

To withdraw their concessions seems scant reward for their loyalty, since it is largely due to their efforts that the present administration had a viable club with which to become involved.

I am sure the board have the interests of the club at heart, but this unfortunate issue gives an impression that there is a policy at Aggborough of estrangement with anything and anyone connected with the past.
