WITH reference to your article 'Charities merge' which appeared on page 14 of The Journal on Thursday September 13. May I point out a few corrections.
Open-House is not a Charity, it is an organisation for Christian friendship, run by volunteers.
We are not a club for the disabled or disadvantaged, we are a club that welcomes everybody without discrimination of any description.
We were approached by the Association in August of this year, and on August 24, we agreed to take over the running of the Association (rather than see it disband completely). This will take effect as you stated on November 2.
This will make The Association for the Transport for the Disabled, The Charitable Arm of Open-House.
PAUL TANDY, Organiser, Open-House.
