GOLF: District planners are to visit Kidderminster Golf Club which wants to demolish its club house and replace it with housing.
Wyre Forest District Council head of development control Mike Parker said he was having a "continuing dialogue" with the club over the outline application and recommended a visit to the site for members of the planning (development control) committee before their next meeting on October 16.
The club has also submitted an application for permission for a new clubhouse as it wants to build nine detached houses and four two-bedroom apartments on the existing site, which is accessed from a private drive off Russell Road.
