A GROUP of bikers will soon be revving up their engines to ride 160 miles for charity.

The motorcyclists, who regularly meet at The Poacher's Pocket pub in Worcester, will be taking to the road to raise money for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The bikers will be starting from the pub in Berkeley Way, Warndon Villages, at 9am on Saturday and finish there seven hours later.

During the journey the bikers will stop at Poacher's Pocket pubs in Bridgnorth, Telford, Walsall Wood, Tamworth, Stechford and Wychbold.

During the breaks they will be rattling charity cans to try to raise as much cash as they can.

All the bikers are members of the Poacher's Motorcycle Club which was founded last year and meets weekly.

They play skittles, share their passion for motorcycling and organise various runs.

The pub's manager, Simon Elcock is a keen biker and will be taking part in the run.
