Evesham III 2, Warwick 2

EVESHAM got their season under way with a spirited performance against experienced opposition.

Two well-worked goals, aided by some sloppy defending, gave the visitors a 2-0 lead into the break.

Half-time re-organisation saw the home side come out a different team, moving the ball crisply around the park and proving a constant threat to the Warwick goal.

It took until ten minutes into the half for Evesham to pull back their first goal, when Matt Haines struck a fine effort past the flailing keeper.

Within five minutes the home side were on level terms, Haines wobbled past the last line of defence, and struck an accurate reverse stick shot to claim his brace.
