SNAKES alive! Some companies will do anything for more business.
Hereford pet superstore, Pets at Home, will host a reptile road show at its Brook Retail Park premises on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23.
The road show will include free advice, fact sheets and dietary information for reptile owners and would-be owners, and will run from 11am to 4pm.
The event is free but reptile pets are not invited.
"Reptiles are now the fastest-growing sector of the pet industry in Britain but unfortunately people's knowledge about reptiles, and what is involved in keeping them as pets, is fairly limited," said Sarah Beales, from Proteus, the country's leading reptile sanctuary, which is running the roadshow
