A RENOWNED Redditch comedian is hunting memorabilia from a flamboyant musical hall maestro who died nearly sixty years ago.
Colin Wheeler, of Mount Pleasant, is researching the life of singer and comedian George Lashwood and wants of include a dedication to him in his stage routine if enough information is forthcoming.
Mr Wheeler, who said the entertainer was one of the greatest stars of the music hall and later variety theatre era, will join Dr Carl Chinn on BBC Radio WM at 2.30pm on Friday, September 28, to discuss George Lashwood's life.
