SUPERMARKET giant Tesco has applied for planning permission to rebuild parts of the Oakenshaw store damaged in last month's huge blaze.
The Coldfield Drive store re-opened this week on 40,000 sq ft of the site but the company's three applications are part of its manifesto to reinstate a normal service as soon as possible.
The plans submitted to Redditch Council also feature revision of the car park to aid deliveries and the provision of a bakery, increased warehouse space and staff accommodation, although certain elements of the applications may be temporary.
A Tesco spokesman said a major issue would be aiding deliveries to the store.
