During August members had lunched at the French House and then went on to visit the Worcester Porcelain shop and museum.
Thanks were extended to members for knitting jumpers for Gambia. Shirley Giles is collecting articles to fill shoe boxes to be sent to Romania.
The speaker, Mrs Learsy from Severn Trent, gave a talk on all aspects of the water supply, illustrated by graphic and scenic slides.
Shirley Giles reported on the visit to Denman College and Jean Hart gave an account of her visit to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party in July, accompanied by her daughter, Wendy.
The evening ended with the annual harvest auction. Pauline Batchelor was auctioneer and the fruit and vegetables were quickly dispatched.
