BROMSGROVE Cricket Club finally had something to cheer this season when the First XI won the Worcester Sunday League.
With only one defeat all season Paul Duffy's side secured the title with a convincing win against Feckenham.
Batting first, in amongst the showers, the captain led from the front with 74 not out. This allowed the batsman to play their shots around him with five others scoring over 20.
All the home bowlers took a wicket a piece but Bromsgrove strolled to 244 for 9 off their allotted 45 overs.
The Feckenham reply was over and done with in just 22 overs.
Brothers Paul and Nick Husbands opened the bowling and by the end of their spells the score was 36 for 6.
Mark Evenson chipped in with two wickets -- the first being well caught by wicket keeper John Sorrell down the leg side.
The innings finally folded with the score on 62, giving Bromsgrove victory by a massive 182 runs. Nick Husbands returned devastating figures of 5 for 10.
